Introducing the boat, the "Spirit of Endeavour"

The Spirit of Endeavour is a 60ft wide beam luxury canal boat based at Knotts Bridge Mooring on the Leeds to Liverpool Canal located adjacent to junction 9 on the M65 just south of Burnley Lancashire.

The Leeds Liverpool Canal is a broad Strip of water built 200 years ago to link many town in Lancashire and Yorkshire between Leeds and Liverpool. The canal was used as a commercial route for goods over the Pennine hills but today it is only used for pleasure craft which makes it one of the most peaceful and scenic canals in the U.K.

The Spirit of Endeavour is a large steel construction measuirng 60ft long & 10ft wide (yes 10ft wide). The boat will sleep 5 persons using the bedrooms and 2 extra using the Saloon settees converted into a double bed.

• There are 3 bedrooms, two double and one single all with wardrobe & drawers.
• The bathroom has a 4ft bath with shower, washbasin and a flushing toilet.
• The Saloon has 2 & 3 seater settees, TV, DVD, VCR. Breakfast bar & 3 stools.
• The kitchen has a fridge freezer, dishwasher, washer-dryer, four ring gas hob & full size gas oven, sink, microwave, toaster, crockery, cutlery, cupboards and worktops.

The boat is powered by Vetus 65 HP marine diesel engine with hydraulic steering. The engine provides hot water and the gas central heating serves radiators throughout the boat. The large rear deck has patio table and chairs.

The boat will be supplied with all fuel, gas, water, bed linen, towels & tea towels.

Boat handling tuition will be given until you are happy that you can proceed in safety. Assistance will be given if required at locks and swing bridges.
